On the main tourist roads, a sedan driven by an experienced local driver is a normal and comfortable choice. For rough off-road tracks such as jeep-only trails, we recommend an off-road Jeep instead.
Top Station, Thekkady, Kochi and Coimbatore / Chinnar routes are all driven on public roads. Choose by interest: Top Station for lakes and views, Thekkady for tea country and waterfalls, Kochi for Hydel Park, Attukad and activities, Coimbatore for Eravikulam and Marayoor-side stops.
